'You are the road of love, and at the end my home'
Currently, I am working on this small piece, using a Rumi quote, written almost 900 years ago and which has such enduring appeal and sentiment.
My focus is on combining and balancing small details and trying to make a piece that works as a pattern as well as a calligraphic motif. I'm looking for balance but not symmetry.
I'm using several paints at once on the nib of my pen, so that the colours morph and blend at will.
I'm enjoying this piece and hope to cross the inky tightrope without mishap...nearly there...
